Remote Programming

What is Remote Programming?

Remote Programming is a fully remote, individualized exercise plan to help address whatever issue we are working on. Using software called True Coach, clients get their weekly workouts sent to them with videos and details on how to perform the exercise. The client then provides feedback on the workouts (ie "This was hard!", "This was too easy", "This increased my knee pain", etc) and can even send videos to the PT demonstrating form to make sure it's being performed correctly. The workouts are updated and progressed on a weekly basis based on the feedback provided…doesn't get more customized than that! No cookie cutter workout plans here.

Who is appropriate for Remote Programming?

Remote Programming works well for clients who do not require manual, or "hands-on" treatment. Usually this is the client who has progressed out of the acute phase of their rehab but still needs some guidance for what exercises to perform, sets, reps, etc and how to continue making progress rather than repeating the same home exercises as they were given during PT. Clients who are post-operative, or who are recovering from a tendon injury and need help safely loading the joint are some of the common clients that benefit from remote programming.

Is this personal training?

Put simply, no. Remote Programming is not meant to be your complete workout program. It's a supplement to an existing regimen to work on whatever it is that's going on. We do offer remote programming for total body strength and conditioning, so if that is of interest to you, please reach out!

If you're nearing the end of your in-person PT visits but want to continue being under the guidance of a professional, remote programming might be a great option for you!
